NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Long Island man was arrested for slashing a victim's face on Wednesday, Nassau County police said.
According to detectives, officers responded to a disturbance on Lakewood Avenue in Roosevelt at around 12 a.m. Upon arrival, police determined that Ramon Blandon, 48, was involved in an argument with a 22-year-old man.
The argument escalated and Blandon allegedly grabbed a box cutter and slashed the victim on the face, causing a laceration.
Blandon was arrested at the scene without incident and the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Blandon has been charged with assault, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon.
