NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Long Island man has been arrested and charged with raping two girls he "preyed" on via Snapchat and having child pornography on his phone, prosecutors said Thursday.

Brendan Sullivan, 20, of Bohemia, was arrested in May after police learned he had been talking to an underage girl on Snapchat, with plans to bring her vape pens, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said Thursday.

Police officers investigating Sullivan saw him putting the vape pens in the girl’s mailbox, the DA’s office said.

After the officers arrested Sullivan, they found child pornography on his phone, according to the DA’s office. Prosecutors said Sullivan asked several underage girls to send him sexually explicit images.

Investigators also determined that Sullivan had sexual contact with two girls under the age of 15 in March and August, prosecutors said. Sullivan communicated with both girls through Snapchat, according to prosecutors.

“As alleged in the indictment, this defendant is a sexual predator who uses Snapchat, among other means, to knowingly prey upon young girls,” Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini said in a statement.

“This defendant is an alleged child predator, and we will hold him accountable for these egregious acts,” Sini added.

Sullivan has been charged with two counts of second-degree rape, one count of second-degree criminal sexual act, four counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, one count of first-degree criminal contempt, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of second-degree criminal contempt and one count of third-degree sexual abuse, the DA’s office said.

His attorney information wasn’t immediately available Thursday.
