NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Nassau County officials closed two beaches to swimming on Wednesday due to “elevated bacteria levels.”

Sea Cliff Beach and Island Park Beach were closed to bathing Wednesday morning, and will “remain closed until testing indicates that samples are within acceptable limit,” the Nassau County Department of Health said in a press release.

Philip Healy Beach, Biltmore Beach Club and Morgan Sound are also still closed to swimming due to their bacteria levels, the department said.

Anyone with questions about beach openings and closings can call 516-227-9700, the department noted.
