BALDWIN, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A woman was arrested on a long list of charges Sunday evening on Long Island after she drove on drugs with five children in the car, authorities said.
According to police, at 6:20 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call for a DWI at Wendy's located at 690 Sunrise Highway in Baldwin.
Officers located a 2021 Toyota being operated by a woman, activated their emergency lights and conducted an investigation.
It was determined that Johanna Gonzalez, 39, of 688 Merrick Road, was driving under the influence of drugs.
An 8-year-old girl, two 12-year-old boys and two 13-year-old girls were inside the vehicle.
The five children were all released to relatives.
Gonzalez is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired, five counts of driving while intoxicated with a child under 16, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, five counts of endangering the welfare of a child and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.
She will be arraigned on Monday.
