HAMPTON BAYS, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Authorities are investigating after a 70-year-old man died in a house fire on Long Island Sunday night, authorities said.
At about 10 p.m., fire officials responded to the fire at a Rolling Hill Road home in Hampton Bays, officials said.
According to police, a woman was able to get out of the house but Gregory Konesky became trapped inside before he was pulled from the home and transported to the hospital where he died.
An electrical issue may have caused the fire and an investigation remains ongoing.
