Man arrested for graffiti, violating Nassau mask ban

FRANKLIN SQUARE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Long Island officials arrested a man for for graffiti and violating the Nassau County mask ban on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

At about 1:12 p.m. while on routine patrol, officers observed an unknown man wearing a face mask spray-painting graffiti on a storage container located at 550 Franklin Ave. in Franklin Square.

Following an investigation, officers determined that Treston Isaacs Jr., 28, of Elmont was responsible for spray-painting "506 OMM" and "516 OMM" on various places throughout Nassau County.

He was placed under arrest without incident.

Isaacs Jr. was charged with criminal mischief, possession of graffiti instruments, making graffiti and for violating Nassau County's law that makes it a misdemeanor for someone to wear a face covering to hide their identity in public.

He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled back in court on Thursday, March 27.
