UNIONDALE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Arson and bomb detectives arrested a man on Wednesday night for selling hundreds of fireworks out of a 99-cent store on Long Island, Nassau County police said.
During an investigation conducted at the Uniondale 99 Cents Dollar Discount Store located at 1054 Jerusalem Ave. in Uniondale, at around 8 p.m., detectives observed several boxes of assorted fireworks displayed for sale near the cashier.
Officials recovered approximately 486 firework items from the location.
Authorities arrested Mohammad Yousuf, 65. He was charged with unlawfully selling fireworks and multiple explosive offenses and will be arraigned on Thursday.
