ROOSEVELT, N.Y. (WCSB 880) -- Long Island officials arrested a 24-year-old man for shooting another man during a dispute that occurred early Tuesday, according to authorities.
According to detectives, at around 3:30 a.m., Raul Flores of Freeport, was visiting a residence located on Madison Avenue in Roosevelt where he got into a verbal altercation with a 30-year-old man.
Flores displayed a pistol and shot the man, striking him in the leg. according to officials.
Police arrived at scene and took Flores into custody.
Flores is facing various assault charges as well as criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
He will be arraigned on Wednesday.
