
HICKVILLE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Officials arrested a 32-year-old man accused of pulling a gun on a woman and her kids at McDonald's drive-thru on Long Island Sunday night.
According to officers, just before 10 a.m., a 31-year-old woman was operating her vehicle with her three children, ages 12, 7 and 1 at a McDonalds drive-thru located at 805 South Broadway in Hicksville.
She was behind a red Hyundai driven by Nicholas Carpenzano that was not moving so she honked her horn, officials said.
Carpenzano exited his vehicle and pointed what appeared to be a pistol at the
victim and her three children. The victim, fearing for her life, fled the scene in her vehicle and notified Nassau County Police.
Officers responded and located the vehicle near the vicinity of South Broadway and Millwood Gate and conducted a vehicle and traffic law stop.
A a black and green imitation Glock handgun was recovered from the vehicle during the investigation and Carpenzano was placed under arrest without further incident.
Carpenzano is charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was issued a desk appearance ticket returnable to Nassau
County First District Court on Thursday, Jan. 25.
