MANORVILLE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- A man and woman were killed in a crash Monday afternoon on Long Island, according to authorities.
The crash occurred at 3:13 p.m., near Saints Peter and Paul Church located on Wading River Road in Manorville, police said.
Kevin Vollmer, 50, was driving a 2019 Ford van southbound on Wading River Road with Antoinette Mullings-Joseph, 49, who was a passenger in the van, according to officials.
The van veered off the road and struck a tree at the intersection at North Street, Suffolk County Police said.
Both Vollmer and Mullings-Joseph were declared dead at the scene by a Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office physician assistant.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.
An investigation is ongoing,
