The governor announced she’s sick on Twitter and said she’s asymptomatic.

“Today I tested positive for COVID-19,” said Hochul. “Thankfully, I’m vaccinated and boosted, and I’m asymptomatic. I’ll be isolating and working remotely this week.”

Hochul reminded New Yorkers to get vaccinated, test frequently and isolate when sick.

The governor's positive test comes as New York City infection rates continue to climb, stoking fears of a fifth wave.
