UNIONDALE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Nassau County police officers assisted with a baby delivery in a car on Long Island on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.
At 8:40 a.m., police responded to the vicinity of Front and Chester streets for a call of a women going in labor.
Upon arrival, officers located the pregnant women seated in the front seat of a passenger vehicle actively in labor.
Officers assisted by two Nassau County Police medics were successful in delivering a healthy baby girl.
Officers transported the mother and child in stable condition to a local nearby hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
