NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was seriously hurt at a restaurant parking lot when a pick-up truck struck him in a hit-and-run on Long Island Sunday night, according to Suffolk County Police.
Officials said 48-year-old Gary Harnig was standing in the parking lot of Jack McCarthy's Pub in Centereach around 10 p.m. when he was struck by the vehicle.
The white pick-up truck then sped off and fled the scene, heading southbound on Lake Grove Boulevard around police said.
Harnig was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition, officials said.
