NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with shooting pellets at nearly two dozen parked vehicles and two storefront windows in Rockland County, police said Monday.
Surveillance video captured the Suffern resident, whose name wasn’t immediately released, sitting in the driver’s seat of a red pickup truck in the Village of Airmont in Ramapo on Friday, Ramapo police said Monday.
The video then shows the man aiming a pellet gun through his passenger-seat window and shooting at nearby parked cars.
The man shot at and damaged approximately 20 vehicles and two storefront windows, the department said.
Officers arrested him soon after and charged him with two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, 18 counts of third-degree criminal mischief and reckless endangerment, police said.
He was released on his own recognizance after the arrest and is expected to appear in court later this month, according to the department.
