NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Nassau County's Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is offering a $6,000 reward for information on a family's cat that was shot and left to die.
According to the family, Stella, their 11-year-old cat never returned home after being let out out early in the morning on Sept. 1.
After searching for her the entire weekend, the family found Stella on Sunday Sept. 4, whimpering under a bush.
She was rushed to an emergency vet where the family was told that Stella had been shot twice.
Stella died later that night.
