NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 16-year-old Rockland County girl died in a single-car crash on Saturday — and the 17-year-old boy who was driving the vehicle has been charged with driving while intoxicated.

Suffern High School student Jacqueline Zangrilli died after the boy crashed into a utility pole in Montebello around 2:50 a.m. on Saturday, LoHud reported, citing information from police.

Four other Suffern High School students who were in the car when it crashed were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, the outlet reported.

The boy, whose name wasn't released, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault, first-degree vehicular assault, second-degree vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated, according to the outlet. He was also reportedly a student at the school.

A GoFundMe set up to raise money for Zangrilli's funeral expenses described her as "special in so many ways."

"She was an incredible daughter, sister, granddaughter, nice and friend," the page read. "Jacqueline was full of life."

"Anyone that met Jacqueline, loved her," it added. "She made others smile in an instant and was quick to bring on laughter in a room."
