PLAINVIEW, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Nassau County detectives are investigating a car robbery outside the a Long Island bakery over the weekend, authorities said Monday.
At about 9 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 13, officers responded to The French Workshop located at 417 S. Oyster Bay Rd. in Plainview for a stolen car.
Upon arrival, officers were informed a woman, 48, that was seated and sleeping in the rear of a 2019 Audi Q7 which was parked.
The victim's husband, 48, and a second man, 68, exited the idling vehicle and entered the bakery, police said.
According to authorities, the woman awoke when the vehicle suddenly used its brakes. The suspect driving the vehicle noticed the victim seated in the rear, displayed a knife and demanded she exit.
The victim complied and the vehicle fled northbound on S. Oyster Bay Road.
There were no injuries reported.
The suspect is described as a man dressed in all black.
