NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A pair of thieves stole a Stormtrooper statue from a Long Island video game store earlier this month, surveillance video shows.

Two women stole the Star Wars statue from Blast From The Past in Bay Shore on April 1, the store said on its Facebook page.

“Our Stormtrooper was stolen yesterday,” the store’s owners wrote. “We are now looking to purchase something similar, any life size statues or toys we can use outside to replace him.”

Store owner Richard McWilliams told the New York Post he was “right around the corner getting gas when my manager informed me and said the Storm Trooper was stolen.”

The statue was on display in front of the store — next to an R2D2 statue — when the thieves nabbed it, he said.

“We had gotten a pretty high amount of requests if we would sell him or not, and we turned everyone down,” McWilliams told the outlet. “Being a new business, we’re trying to get people to stop in and check it out.”

Suffolk County police are investigating the theft, the outlet reported.
