LYNBROOK, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Authorities are investigating after an Uber driver was killed in three-car crash with a party bus Sunday morning on Long Island.
According to detectives, at 10:47 a.m. a 70-year-old Uber driver with a 26-year-old passenger was driving a white 2018 Nissan Sentra westbound on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook where he struck a white 2012 Audi driven by a 37-year-old man headed westbound at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue.
As a result of the collision, the Audi collided with a 2011 Freightliner party bus driven by a 38-year-old man.
The Nissan Sentra driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The passenger remains in critical condition.
The Audi driver was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
The freightliner driver refused medical attention.
The investigation is ongoing.
