HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (WCBS 880) — Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a suspect wanted for stealing a large M&M character display from outside a candy store in New Jersey.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. on March 12 on Main Street in Hackettstown.

Surveillance video of the incident shows the man walking along Main Street and swiftly swipe up the large character display that was standing in front of Tracy's Candy Shoppe.

The video shows the man casually walking away with the giant yellow M&M in hand.

The candy shop shared the video on their Facebook page along with a plea reading, "MISSING.. Saturday March 12 early morning. If anyone knows this guy or where my buddy is, please contact me."
