Americans have more time to file their federal taxes as the coronavirus pandemic grips the nation.
In a tweet Friday morning, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said at President Donald Trump’s direction the income tax filing date is being moved to July 15 from April 15.
"All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties," Mnuchin said, adding "I encourage all taxpayers who may have tax refunds to file now to get your money."
