NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A 19-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car early Tuesday morning on Long Island.
The victim, who hasn't been identified, was at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and South Street in East Garden City around 1:15 a.m. when he was hit by a Honda Civic, Nassau County police said.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive. He was pronounced dead just after 3:45 a.m.
The Honda's driver stayed at the scene.
No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
