NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Brooklyn-born actress Jessica Walter, whose decades-long career included a starring role in "Arrested Development," has died at age 80.
Walter's daughter, Brooke Bowman, told Deadline the Emmy-winning actress passed away in her sleep at her home in New York City on Wednesday.
"It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of my beloved mom Jessica," Bowman said in a statement. "A working actor for over six decades, her greatest pleasure was bringing joy to others through her storytelling both on screen and off."
"While her legacy will live on through her body of work, she will also be remembered by many for her wit, class and overall joie de vivre," she added.
Walter worked as an actress for five decades, starring in movies including "Play Misty for Me" and "The Flamingo Kid," as well as television shows including "Arrested Development," "Archer," and "Amy Prentiss," for which she won an Emmy.
