Thieves swipe iPhones from LI T-Mobile, threaten to stab employee: police

VALLEY STREAM, N.Y. (WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a group of thieves who ransacked a T-Mobile location and stole multiple Apple products from a Nassau County store Thursday evening.

According to police, the group of four – three women and one man – entered the store on West Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream just before 6:30 p.m. and inquired if the store sold Apple Watches.

The man proceeded to stand by the door, acting as a lookout, while the women approached the iPhone display inside the location, police said.

Authorities said the women then began ripping the iPhones from the counter as one woman verbally threatened an employee, saying she would stab them if they intervened.

The women also approached the Apple Watch display and removed several watches before the group fled the store, heading east on Sunrise Highway with the products.

Police said three employees and one customer were present at the location during the robbery. There were no injuries reported.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
