NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — What a mess!
A delivery truck overturned on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, spilling vegetables all over the roadway and stalling traffic at the height of the morning rush hour Monday.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on the northbound BQE at Flushing Avenue.

Chopper 880 was over the scene, where the tractor-trailer could be seen laying on its right side with loads of what appeared to be yellow and orange bell peppers spilled out all over the Exit 30 ramp.
The wreck also made a mess of traffic, leaving just the left lane open to traffic.
"The roof split open, spilled the contents there, so the only thing getting by is that far left lane," traffic reporter Tom Kaminski said.
