VIDEO: 'You will pay,' Trump warns rioters who 'broke the law' at US Capitol, ensures seamless transition for new upcoming administration

WASHINGTON (1010 WINS) -- President Donald Trump on Thursday addressed the nation in a message posted on Youtube a day after a mob attack on the US Capitol.

"America is and always will be a nation of law and order, Trump said in his video message.

The demonstrators who infiltrated the capitol have defiled the seat in American democracy, Trump added. "To those who broke the law, you will pay."

His previous videos were taken down and Trump was locked from several media social media platforms until his term ends.

Trump also said that his focus now turns to "ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition" as a new administration is set to be inaugurated on Jan 20th.

"2020 has been a challenging time fore our people," he continued. "Defeating this pandemic and rebuilding the greatest economy on earth will require all of us working together."

"To the citizens of this country, serving as your president has been the honor of my lifetime ... but I also want you to know our incredible journey is only just beginning."
