NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Rain and chilly temperatures are in the forecast for much of the Memorial Day weekend, but friends and families gathering for the unofficial start of summer will see the weather warm up on Monday.
The first round of rain arrived Friday, and showers are expected to pop up again on Saturday and Sunday, according to AccuWeather.
Saturday is set to be windy and chilly, with some rain that will be steadiest in the morning. The temperature will likely reach a low of 48 degrees Saturday night, with RealFeels in the 40s for most of the day.
Sunday will likely be damp and cool, with more periods of rain and drizzle. Showers could be heavy near the coast. The high will approach 60.
Memorial Day is slated to be mostly cloudy, with a few showers possible. Temperatures will hover in the 66 to 70 range.
Looking ahead, Tuesday is expected to be partly sunny and warmer, with a high of 76 degrees.
