NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A summerlike warmup on Tuesday will send temperatures in New York City above 80, before a week of more seasonal 60s and showers, according to AccuWeather.
Tuesday afternoon will see some sunshine mixing with clouds as the day gets increasingly windy and warm, the forecaster said. Highs will be around 83 in the city but stay in the 70s on Long Island and in coastal Connecticut.
Brush fire risk is elevated on Tuesday due to the gusty winds and low humidity.
By night it will be partly to mostly cloudy and breezy, with a low of 63. Conditions will remain similar on Wednesday, AccuWeather said, with a few showers during the midday and afternoon hours, and a high of 69.
Both Thursday and Friday will be partly cloudy and breezy, with a high of 62 and 65, respectively.
Showers will return, especially in the afternoon, for a cloudy Saturday, AccuWeather said. The high will stay in the low 60s.
