
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Extreme heat will engulf the New York City area Tuesday, with RealFeel temps nearing 100 degrees.
But the extreme heat will be over as soon as it started, with a backdoor front ushering in cooler 70-degree temps for the rest of the week, according to AccuWeather.


Tuesday is hot, sticky and humid under mostly sunny skies. Highs will be about 94 in the city and inland, while RealFeels will approach 100.
It will be cooler at the beaches, where temps will be closer to 80.

Clouds will build Tuesday afternoon. A shower may hit anytime in the afternoon or evening. Lows drop to about 64 overnight.
Wednesday is much cooler with varying amounts of clouds. A shower or thunderstorm will be around, especially in the afternoon. The high will be 72.

Thursday’s high is 77. It’s otherwise partly sunny with a couple of showers and a thunderstorm possible later in the day. The stormy weather may bring downpours and gusty winds.
A shower and thunderstorm are also likely on Friday, when it will be 75.
The weekend is shaping up to be dry and comfortable with highs in the 70s.
