VERONA, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for three men that beat and carjacked a woman in New Jersey Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
At 3:26 p.m. a woman residing on Floyd Road in Verona Township was approached by three men as she pulled into her driveway, officials said.
The suspects demanded her car keys and began to punch her in the head and face, ultimately knocking her to the ground.
They then fled in the woman's car and the vehicle they arrived in, which was spotted by two officers in the area of Bloomfield and Mt. Prospect avenues.
The officers pursued both vehicles into West Orange but were forced to stop due to the weather conditions and the suspect's reckless driving.
