NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — A woman authorities say was driving the wrong way when she crashed into a police cruiser on Thanksgiving Day has been charged with aggravated manslaughter.
Middlesex County prosecutors say Yokauri Batista-Alcantara also faces several other counts stemming from the Nov. 25 crash in North Brunswick that killed two children in her vehicle and injured three people in the cruiser.
It wasn't known Wednesday if the 31-year-old New Brunswick woman has retained an attorney.
Authorities say she drove the wrong way on the on-ramp to Route 1 before the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Route 130.
