NEPTUNE, N.J. (1010 WINS) – A woman's body was found in a snow-covered retention pond in New Jersey on Monday, according to the Neptune Township Police Department.
Police responded to 230 Jumping Brook Rd. in Tinton Falls after receiving a report of a person lying in the snow in a retention basin, wearing only a shirt and shorts.
When officers arrived at around 1:07 p.m., they found a deceased white female at the location. The woman has not been identified as police work to notify her family. She was reportedly in her 50s.
"There is no known threat to the public," police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
