Several players on the 49ers trolled Daniel Jones after their blowout win over the Giants last week, wondering aloud why he was given $40 million a year after one good season.
After Jones and New York were smoked by the Seahawks on Monday Night Football, San Francisco edge rusher Arik Armstead came back for more.
Armstead posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) trolling Jones again, writing “Daniel Jones I am so disappointed in you. Why would you throw the ball so quick vs. us and then let these people have career days? Why weren’t we deserving?”
Armstead was referring to the 10 times that Jones was sacked on Monday night, with four different Seahawks logging multiple sacks on the night. With Andrew Thomas still out, and Evan Neal still struggling, it was a feeding frenzy for Seattle’s pass rush, and it showed in a 24-3 rout.
