Andre Drummond has already filled Mitchell Robinson's void, at least off the court

Andre Drummond has wasted no time winning over Knicks fans, mainly by incorporating a tactic used by the beloved Knick he recently replaced.

The veteran center has been active on social media since signing a one-year deal with New York, filling the void left by Mitchell Robinson by trash talking fans who are hating on the Knicks, and going to bat for his new teammates. Robinson, now with the hated Celtics, was notorious for his social media activity and interacting with fans, and Drummond has assumed that position almost immediately.

When news broke earlier in the week that Victor Wembanyama would be the cover athlete for the new NBA2K video game, Drummond responded to a post announcing the news in the same way many Knicks fans did, declaring that Jalen Brunson should have gotten the cover, considering he bested Wembanyama and the Spurs in the Finals, winning series MVP in the process after scoring 45 points in a clinching game in Wemby's house.

"How's Jalen Brunson not on the cover?" Drummond posted.

When a fan replied that a photo of Brunson holding the Larry O'Brien Trophy alongside an elated Karl-Anthony Towns should be the video game cover, Drummond responded, "Couldn't agree moreeeee!" A not-so-supportive fan replied to that reply by calling Drummond a "cuck," to which Drummond fired back with a NSFW acronym.

Drummond has already reposted posts from Knicks superfan Ben Stiller as well, and is hitting all the right social media buttons to get in the Knicks fan's good graces. Of course, he will have to produce on the court to maintain that, as he is replacing the formerly longest-tenured Knick who helped the team to its first championship in 53 years. The 32-year-old Mount Vernon native has a load of offensive rebounding to make up for with Robinson's absence, but on the social media and playful trolling side, Drummond has fit right in so far.
