With the NFL playoffs set to begin, Boomer and Gio made their Super Bowl picks on Friday, and both had the same team coming out of the NFC.
As for the AFC, Boomer picked a Jets division rival, while Gio picked a former Jets quarterback to lead his team on an improbable run.
Boomer's (revised) Super Bowl pick: Bills/Niners.
Gio: Browns/Niners.
"Watch them get waxed this week by the Texans now that I said that," Gio said of his Cleveland pick. "But I gotta have something interesting in the AFC."
As for the NFC, Gio doesn't expect anything crazy, refuting Boomer's wondering if the Niners could be shockingly eliminated before the Super Bowl.
"Not this year, man. They're too good," Gio said. "They beat the crap out of everybody. As long as they don't lose Deebo Samuel, Brock Purdy, or Christian McCaffrey during the game, they are gonna roll over everybody. It's gonna be ugly. They're gonna go into the Super Bowl as a double-digit favorite. That's how good they've been playing."
