Jerry Recco was torn between two Moment of the Day candidates, so he let Gio pick – and since he didn't remember "the Todd Bertuzzi one," that's what we got.
In this instance, Bertuzzi was making a radio appearance in which he was apologizing for often being truculent with the media in his career – and then called two writers out to compound his rancor.
"Cox and Simmons…they're just two donkeys who don't know much about anything, and just spit off nothing but venom," Bertuzzi said of two people he wasn't fond of, calling them "not sportswriters."
"Yeah, sorry for being a douche, but by the way, these guys are total donkey jerks that I hated," Gio then deadpanned in a Bertuzzi-esque tone of voice.
"Who are these guys?" Boomer asked, which prompted an investigation into who Cox and Simmons are.
And then, Gio flashed back to yesterday.
"I'm gonna Google hockey Cox and see what comes up."
