Jerry filled in for Gio today so Al filled in for Jerry, and when Mr. Recco was talking about how he was shocked Al didn't mention Sergio Romo dropping his drawers for an umpire check during an update…well, it was radio.
"We've talked about Max Scherzer a lot today and rightfully so, and…good lord," Jerry stopped, prompting Al to ask why: "There was a commercial for Love Island on CBS."
Al's deadpan back: "Eddie and I thought maybe Boomer passed gas."
The discussion raged on, with Boomer asking why they thought he would throw out an SBD, and Al called it as Moment of the Day right away…which, given that he was picking it today, was kind of a spoiler?
