Boomer & Gio's Moment of the Day 9/17/21: Feel Good Friday

Boomer tried to explain to the Morning Show crew what it was like to have a full-grown NFL defensive lineman fall on you back in the day, but he was cut off by a sad violin in today's Moment of the Day.

The group was discussing the questionable roughing the passer call in Thursday night's thriller between the Giants and Washington, which was called on Washington's Chase Young to set up New York's first touchdown of the night.

"I actually thought it was a nice, clean tackle," Jerry Recco said.

Gio pointed out that Young fell on top of Daniel Jones, which is what officials and the league are trying to do away with in today's game, which Boomer tried to explain.

"What you guys don't understand is that defensive linemen end up throwing their entire weight on you. You don't see that. It looks like it's an inconsequential - "

That's when Eddie Scozzare broke out the sad violin audio for poor Boomer, who dealt with a rougher NFL in his playing days.

Boomer wasn't happy about it.

"Eddie, I'm gonna take your diabetes meter and throw it in the toilet," Boomer said.

It was a nice, friendly end to the work week!
