Boomer gushing over Knicks resilience, defensive toughness: 'This isn't the Carmelo Knicks'

Boomer is all in on this Knicks team after their miracle comeback in game two, getting a 90s vibe that makes it easy to root for.

“It doesn’t happen very often, but when it does happen, it is incredible. It is amazing,” Boomer said. “That’s championship DNA.

“These guys are playing balls to the wall. This is NBA basketball at its finest, with the intensity, the defense, guys diving all over the place.”

The Knicks grabbed a steal on a Sixers inbounds pass, then an offensive rebound before Donte DiVincenzo poured in the game winner on Monday night, which Boomer said highlighted the grit and selflessness that this group radiates.

“This team is never really out of a game…there is something resilient about the team,” Boomer said. “This team is winning with defense and timely shooting…they all play defense, they all hustle, they all hit key shots, and they all rebound.
The way they’re playing and the way they’re all strung together, that’s what makes the games fun. This isn’t the Carmelo Knicks. This is a collective group of guys that are busting their ass and playing defense.”
