On their brand new Roomates podcast, Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson talked about Tom Thibodeau, and Hart's recent workload for the shorthanded Knicks.
Hart, who hasn't been shy in talking about his increased minutes of late, once again didn't hide his exhaustion from playing so many minutes.
"I'm not gonna lie, I be f---g grinding. I be tired," Hart laughed. "Thibs plays me 40 a game, we gonna box."
Hart has indeed been playing nearly 40 minutes a game, averaging 39.6 points per game over his last six contests. In Thursday's loss to Dallas, Hart played 38:51 and posted a triple-double.
As for Hart's comments about playing time, Boomer says it wasn't something that would have been said by previous generations of NBA players.
"Back in the 80s and the 90s, when Magic and Larry and those guys roamed the hardwood of the NBA, nobody complained about playing time," Boomer said. "Now it's engrained in the players' heads.
"They just basically ripped into Thibs."
Hart, a known jokester, likely had some sense of playfulness with his comments, but it's clear that Hart has some thoughts on being used so much while the Knicks battle injuries all over the roster.
"First podcast, let's just filet the coach in front of everybody," Gio said. "Awesome."
