There isn't much to complain about when it comes to the Knicks right now, as the team is riding a six-game winning streak, and has statistically been one of the strongest teams in the NBA since Tom Thibodeau shuffled his rotation earlier this season.
But BT says there is still one glaring issue that Thibodeau and the franchise needs to address.
"Once they resolve this RJ Barrett situation…then I think you're gonna start climbing more," BT said.
"He's just not it, man. They gotta figure it out. His handle is atrocious.
It's such a weak handle. He's killing them."
Barrett was his streaky self on Monday, putting together a very strong stretch late in the first half to help the Knicks cling to momentum after Boston had cut a 20-point lead in half. But on the whole, he shot 4-for-14 and is shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 33 percent from downtown this season.
Overall, the consistency issues that have plagued him throughout his NBA career are still there, and BT is convinced it will never come together.
"He'll have a couple of good nights, I get that, but when you're the third overall pick in the draft, you gotta be better than that," BT said. "He's just not gonna be that guy."
