Giants head coach Brian Daboll joined Boomer and Gio from Big Blue training camp on Monday morning, and the trolling began before Daboll even settled into his seat.
Daboll and Boomer went back and forth, reminding each other about the painful collapses they were a part of during their careers.
“So let’s go back to that Buffalo game against Kansas City,” Boomer said to start things off, referencing Patrick Mahomes’ game-winning drive against Daboll’s Bills with just 13 seconds left in the divisional round a year ago.
Daboll fired right back by referencing Boomer’s devastating loss in Super Bowl XXIII, when his Bengals fell on a game-winning drive by one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
“If there’s anybody that can relate to 34 seconds, John Taylor, Joe Montana, we feel the same way,” Daboll said.
“Thirty four seconds wasn’t enough for me, but 13 seconds was enough for Patrick Mahomes,” Boomer said. “We can go back and forth all day coach.”
