After reading the expose article of Brian Daboll by Pat Leonard of the Daily News, C-Mac called out the sources criticizing the head coach’s tendencies as Wink Martindale supporters that shouldn’t be taken seriously.
“Brian Daboll is under attack!” C-Mac said. “I gotta tell you, when I first read the story, my initial thought is just ‘Losing sucks.’ Losing, you get all of this. The same stuff that made Brian Daboll a great coach last year is now the same thing that makes Brian Daboll a problem this year. The feistiness, the fiery nature, yelling in Daniel Jones’ face…that’s what changed the culture of the New York Giants.”
C-Mac has stood by Daboll since Martindale reportedly stormed out of Daboll’s office, and this article isn’t changing that in any way.
“The people you’re hearing from, the sources you’re hearing from Pat Leonard, are members of Wink Martindale’s staff that have been let go, or are soon to not be part of the team,” C-Mac said. “Or just Wink sympathizers or someone who has been yelled at by Brian Daboll, is on their way out of the organization, and just wants to make Brian Daboll look bad.
“I don’t care. I’m sorry. I don’t care.”
