Garrett Wilson spoke with reporters on Monday about the Jets outlook for next season, including what needs to change for Gang Green to have a better outcome than Wilson’s first two years in the NFL.
“We’ve got to be able to make adjustments in the game and counter what we’re getting, and put points on the board,” Wilson said. “Football hasn’t been this hard as far as offense. When I watch on the sideline, it doesn’t look that hard for the other team.”
BT says Wilson was clearly putting the coaching staff on watch with those comments, including head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
“You talk about an indictment on the staff,” BT said. “He said it in a classy manner and a measured tone, but he just took a blowtorch to that staff. They are perilously close to losing this young man.
“If Rodgers gets hurt again or if he’s cooked, Wilson is just gonna say ‘Get me out of here.’ Garrett Wilson isn’t sticking around for this nonsense, and I don’t blame him.”
