BT not fighting Yankees sponsorship patches, says it's time to change facial hair policy as well

The Yankees have become the latest team to announce a partnership that will include a sponsorship patch on their jersey sleeves, which will reportedly net the franchise roughly $20 million per season.

Tiki wondered if a lifelong fan like BT would hate the idea of the iconic pinstripes now having an advertising patch attached to it, but BT’s reaction was surprisingly accepting.

“I love it. More money for [Juan] Soto,” BT laughed. “Why am I gonna fight this? Do I wish it wasn’t there on some antiquated, throwback level? Whatever.”

Tiki brought up the other tradition-rooted rules of the Yankees, like the team’s facial hair policy, and BT said it’s time to get rid of that as well.

“Change that rule while you’re at it too,” BT said. “I’ve almost grown immune to this stuff. You have to.”

Where BT would draw the line is the inclusion of names on the back of the jerseys. Those need to stay away from the pinstripes and the road grays.

“That, you can’t change,” BT said. “That will never change.”
