BT was sure of two things after Pete Alonso was hit by a pitch in his first at-bat on Wednesday night, 24 hours after yelling at Braves starter Bryce Elder to "throw it again" following a home run.
He was certain that Charlie Morton didn't hit Alonso on purpose, and was sure that the Atlanta fans in attendance had no class.
"These dopey Braves fans. I gotta tell you, these Braves fans are classless," BT said. "Philly fans get a bad rep, we get a bad rep. These people, what are they doing down there?"
Fans cheered as Alonso fell to the ground after taking a high and tight fastball off the wrist, and began to mock Alonso with chants of "throw it again" as he left the field, and the game, for X-rays.
It didn't sit well with BT at all, to the point where he even wondered if the Mets should retaliate
"It's classless. It didn't take over the entire stadium, but it was audible," BT said of the chants. "When he was walking off the field, you start hearing the chants, 'throw it again.' So, you got a bunch of idiots down there in Atlanta chanting 'throw it again,' when you know the guy is hurt and is leaving the game. Classless."
