The Mets offense, or lack thereof, has been a major talking point when dissecting the team’s sub-.500 record, with much of the blame being placed on a nonexistent back half of the lineup, or the early struggles for Francisco Lindor.

But BT says it’s time to start calling out one of New York’s other All-Stars from last season.

“Can we start getting on Starling Marte?” BT said. “I’m always getting on Francisco Lindor and the dead weight…but is Starling Marte gonna start playing baseball at some point?

“What is going on with Starling Marte? He has been horrendous this season.”

The numbers for Marte have been eye-opening, and not in a good way. The outfielder is batting .213 with a .569 OPS, contributing just one home run and eight RBI. Tiki pointed to Marte’s age, as he will turn 35 right at the end of the regular season, but BT says if age is a factor, then the GM who signed Marte should get some blame.

“Then that’s a Billy Eppler problem,” BT said. “Who gave him a four-year deal?”
