BT sounds off on 'worst Yankee lineup I've seen in 30 years'

The Yankees managed just one run against the lowly A’s and their not-even-trying ownership on Tuesday night, and are now posting the league’s worst team batting average and OPS over the last month.

It’s enough to make BT want to rip his hair out, if he had any.

“DJ LeMahieu looks like he’s 50,” BT said. “Giancarlo Stanton is the biggest waste of space in this city for a pro athlete. Batting .184. The catchers are hitting .216 and .212, respectively. Donaldson…hitting .132.

“This is the worst Yankee lineup I’ve seen in 30 years. It’s terrible. I know there were a couple years where it was close, but you didn’t have multiple guys hitting in the .100s like you do now…it’s borderline unwatchable.”

There have been some ugly looking Yankee lineups in the past, like the injury-riddled 2013 season where the likes of Kevin Youkilis and Lyle Overbay saw consistent at-bats. But this current Yankee lineup, without Aaron Judge, is only rivaled by the putridness of the basement-dwelling Yankee teams of the early 1990s, in the eyes of an incensed BT.
