C-Mac had called out Dexter Lawrence after Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins, waiting for the highly-paid defensive tackle to make a big impact on a game and help the Giants struggling offense.
After going back through the tape, C-Mac had shifted his blame elsewhere on the defensive line in Leonard Williams.
“When’s the last time you heard [Lawrence’s] name?” C-Mac said. “He’s not impacting the grade like he did last year…but he grades out really well on PFF, and rewatching the game a bit, he’s getting double-teamed all the time.
“Leonard Williams is doing nothing…he should be getting the benefit of playing next to Dexter Lawrence, who is taking up the entire focus of the offensive line up the middle, and he’s done absolutely nothing…he should be better next to Dexter Lawrence.”
While Williams caught C-Mac’s eye in terms of players that need to start showing up, he is far from the only Giant that needs to wake up, on both sides of the ball.
“I can do this for every player on the team,” C-Mac said.
