According to reports, the Rays are shopping Randy Arozarena, and he could be traded this offseason.

C-Mac says it is another piece of evidence that Tampa is a disgrace.

“Why do the Rays even have a team? The Rays are bad for baseball,” C-Mac said. “I mean it. I understand how good they are and what they’ve been able to do with how little they have…they’re smart. But I’m drawing a line here. This is absurd.

“Why have a team? Randy Arozarena has been a stud since he burst on the scene in the 2020 playoffs when he absolutely destroyed the Yankees. He has shown up in every big moment…he plays the Yankees, he does whatever he wants. He is a tremendous player, who they have under arbitration for the next three years.”

Arozarena is indeed under team control for the next three seasons, but the Rays could be looking to move him and avoid bigger arbitration salaries, which C-Mac says is embarrassing.

“They might be able to get a great haul…but how do you expect to field a team and a fanbase if you’re gonna move Randy Arozarena?” C-Mac said. “This team consistently takes money from other teams…doesn’t want to invest any...what they do is absolute nonsense.”
